Depending on the finish we want to achieve we will opt for a wide or narrow diameter curling iron.
- For a less defined and loose wave you should choose a thick tong, select thick strands and keep them in the tong for less time.
- For a well-defined curl you should choose a narrow curling iron, select narrow strands and keep them on the heat for a little longer, always without exceeding the recommended time (8 to 15 seconds).

Before you start styling, protect the hair with a heat protectant that does not leave the hair too wet. Divide the hair into sections and secure it with tongs, start to pull out strand by strand from the back, with a thickness of about 2cm and wrap it in the curling iron with the tong open, then hold the strand closing it, wait between 8 and 15 seconds and open the tong to release it, being careful not to undo it. Continue with all the hair. You can alternate the direction of the strands for a more natural look and then brush them gently to diffuse the wave.
